Pioneer Press — The first time Charlie Lindgren played goalie as a kid, he said he let in 13 goals.
Things have gotten better for Lindgren between the pipes. He is allowing fewer than two goals per game and is 19-5-1 in his junior season at St. Cloud State. Lindgren is tied for the most wins in the nation entering this weekend and ranks in the top 10 in goals allowed (1.95 per game), saves (626) and shutouts (5). He is one of the primary reasons the Huskies (20-5-1) are ranked third in the country heading into their game against Minnesota State Mankato on Saturday at the Xcel Energy Center in the first round of the North Star College Cup.
