Pioneer Press — Senior forward Joey Benik had an idea St. Cloud State could have immediate success when he joined the Huskies’ hockey team in 2011.
But even he didn’t see this coming.
The Huskies are 4 for 4 in qualifying for the NCAA tournament in Benik’s four seasons. St. Cloud State reached the Frozen Four in 2013, and has won at least one tournament game in each of the past three years. St. Cloud State is the only program in Minnesota to sport either of those credentials.
