Shance Newland thought he knew what to expect when he started a job as a recreation coordinator at the Stearns County Jail. He had been a personal trainer and had studied criminal justice at St. Cloud State University. He expected weightlifting and exercise to be the most popular pastimes for inmates.
So Newland was surprised to learn that it was bingo.
