To be recognized as a Top Sales University, institutions needed to offer at least three sales-specific courses, be accredited and have university recognition of the program.
Developed in 2013, St. Cloud State’s Professional Selling Specialization program offers courses in professional selling, sales management and a capstone selling course. It features a shadowing requirement, a professional sales competition, the application of social media as a selling tool and global ethics in selling.
The program is a five-course, 15-credit program that features traditional classroom sessions led by faculty and guest lecturers as well as experiential learning opportunities through role-play, digital recording and feedback on sales presentations in the Northwestern Mutual Sales Lab.
