LaRae Ross has earned the 2016 State Star of the Minnesota Small Business Development Center for showing her strong commitment to small business in Central Minnesota.
“It is an honor to accept this award,” Ross said. “To have the opportunity every day to assist so many entrepreneurs achieve the dream of starting and succeeding in their own business.”
Ross is the associate regional director at the Central Regional Small Business Development Center in St. Cloud.
Each year one top performer from each state within the national network of Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) is recognized for their contributions to their SBDC program.
Employees are chosen for their exemplary performance and making a significant contribution to their state or regional SBDC program.
“LaRae is a passionate, positive contributor to the Central Region as well as the entire state network,” said Barry Kirchoff, director of the SBDC in St. Cloud. “She has provided unwavering, dedicated service for more than eight years.”
The St. Cloud SBDC, part of St. Cloud State University, specializes in providing the professional experience and guidance for entrepreneurs in the area to be competitive and flourish in their business development.
Ross accepted the award at the America’s Small Business Development Center 2016 State Stars conference Sept. 19 in Orlando, Florida.
