St. Cloud State University faculty and students in the Department of Music are bringing their talents together to present the Fall Chamber Recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 in the Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.
The concert features Beethoven’s famous “Ghost” Trio, vocal music by Manuel de Falla and recent works by Andre Previn, John Rutter, Valentin Silvestrov and Bill Ryan performed by faculty, students and guest artists. Admission is free.
The recital will feature faculty members Catherine Verrilli, soprano; Melissa Krause, flute; Shannon Sadler, piano; Tori Okwabi, clarinet; Marion Judish, violin; and Terry Vermillion, vibraphone.
Student performers include: Carina Schneider on electric bass, Kyle Yotter on acoustic bass, Ryan Green on alto sax, Charles Brolin on cello, Anna Loe on viola and AJ Rowe on marimba. They will perform in a Collaborative Chamber Ensemble with Judish, Sadler and Vermillion.
Guest cellist Charles Asch will perform a Faculty and Guest Trio with Judish and Sadler.
Admission is free. Parking is available in the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp for $1.50 per hour.
