A sophomore center at Denver University, Terry burst into the spotlight this month when he led the United States to a win at the world junior championship. First, in a tense semifinal against Russia, he scored three times in a decisive shootout, each time slipping the puck between the goalie’s legs.

Still, his offensive ability was no secret within the team, said Bob Motzko ’89, the head coach at St. Cloud State and the United States coach for the tournament. At Denver, Terry is one of the school’s top scorers, with 11 goals and 11 assists in 20 games this season.
