Brainerd Dispatch — The Morrison County Historical Society has invited Rob Mann, anthropology professor at St. Cloud State University, to speak May 20 about archaeology at the Little Elk Heritage Preserve. The event starts at 1 p.m. Mann has conducted archaeological excavations of the mission site at Little Elk. During this event, he will present his findings related to the mission. Those in attendance will also be able to tour the rest of the site, which is owned the Minnesota DNR and has walking trails and signage related to other notable spots on the property.
