Steve Hoover has been appointed as director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). His two-year appointment will start July 3.
In addition to providing leadership for CETL, Hoover will focus on guiding a strategic planning process that fosters excellence and innovation around teaching and student learning.
Hoover most recently served a two-year term as interim dean for the School of Education. He joined the St. Cloud State faculty in 1989, teaching educational psychology, life-span development and research methods. He has served twice as department chair.
He also has been an interim assistant dean in the College of Education, mediation coordinator and interim associate provost for Faculty and Student Affairs.
Hoover succeeds Lalita Subrahmanyan who served as CETLs director for more than six years.
