St. Cloud State University is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for its students, employees and guests. The safety of our campus is a top priority.
St. Cloud State will be conducting a full-scale emergency exercise with several community emergency response partners from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. July 19 on the St. Cloud State campus.
The exercise will include the St. Cloud Police Department, St. Cloud Fire Department, St. Cloud Hospital, Gold Cross and other area emergency medical services. Emergency vehicles will be traveling on 5th Avenue South throughout the day.
During the exercise, Atwood Memorial Center will be closed until 11 a.m. and V-Lot will be closed until 1 p.m. The rest of campus will be open as usual with some inconveniences.
I have a parking permit for V-lot. There should have been an alternative parking lot option (free) available for those people displaced by the closure of V-lot so that they did not have to park far away or pay to park. I checked V-lot at noon when going to another building and it was empty of emergency vehicles and should have been opened up.
