St. Cloud State is pushing back against one of the scourges of modern life — cancer.

“Pinked Out Picture” and “Cancer Conversations” are back-to-back events Oct. 11 at Atwood Memorial Center.
Pinked Out Picture is the annual show of support for breast cancer survivors and the research and programs that benefit them.
Wear pink. Gather for an 11:50 a.m. group photo on the Atwood Porch.
The Pinked Out Picture also focuses attention on the Making Strides breast cancer fundraising walk Oct. 14 at St. Cloud State.
Immediately following the photo event, a student and an employee will lead a “Cancer Conversations” panel discussion in Atwood Ballroom Breakout ABC.
- Psychology major and community advisor Annalise Gulstad, Prior Lake, is a lymphoma survivor
- Sonja Estwick, an interim grants accountant in the Office of Business Services, is a breast cancer survivor
Representatives from the American Cancer Society’s Central Minnesota office will be on hand.
American Cancer Society manages Making Strides walks nationwide.
Two campus offices will have tables at the event: Human Resources and Counseling and Psychological Services.
