The St. Cloud State campus will be bursting with the colors red and black Oct. 12-15 as the University shows its school spirit for Celebrate Fall 2017.
Fall Celebrate is the premiere series of events at St. Cloud State for students, community, alumni, faculty and staff to celebrate their connections and Huskies pride.
The week kicks off on Thursday with Blizzardshack 7-10 p.m. in the Atwood Mall, a carnival filled night for students with rides, mini golf, games, food and more.
Friday is the start of Family Weekend where families are encouraged to visit their student on campus, get a glimpse of life on campus and attend the weekend’s activities and events.
Students and families have ample opportunities to get out and cheer on their fellow Huskies with several Huskies home athletic events as men’s and women’s hockey are home Friday and Saturday nights. The women play host to the Minnesota White caps while the men take on Alaska Fairbanks in the weekend series. Purchase tickets at SCSUTickets.com.
Saturday starts with the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk, Central Minnesota’s signature breast cancer fundraiser hosted at St. Cloud State. Registration is 7 a.m. in the field house at Halenbeck Hall. The opening ceremony is 8:30 a.m. with the three-mile walk beginning at 9 a.m. In 2016, the walk at St. Cloud State raised $106,000.
Huskies Fan Fest BBQ kicks-off the pregame festivities at noon Saturday before Huskies football kicks-off against Minnesota State University-Moorhead at 3 p.m. at Husky Stadium.
