St. Cloud State University’s Department of Theatre and Film Studies will once again be participating in the St. Cloud Film Festival.
The film festival is hosted annually and is used as a platform to promote filmmaking throughout the year.
The film showcase serves as a way to feature student work and give recognition to some of the best. It also serves as a way to screen alumni work and student work side by side.
The student work shown is from the fall 2016 and spring 2017 semesters.
The 2017 Film Festival will be showcasing student work on Nov. 4 from 1-2 p.m. at the Pioneer Place on Fifth Theatre located at 22 Fifth Ave. S., St. Cloud.
The Student and Alumni Film Festival will feature works from the following students:
Aaron Primmer, Aiden Shoberg, Andrew Legatt, Austin Achtelik, Cal Rassman, Daniel Haslach, Dominique Gadacz, Jack Hebert, Jamie Clark, Jamie Stultz, Jeremy Olmsted, John Marciniak, Kyle Driesse, Nicole Morpurgo, Robert Leigh, Shaun Peglow, Stoyan Slavkov, and Tony Munguia-Gray.
And the following alumni:
Ryan Thielen and Spencer Olson’s Venice Boys (A Skateboarding Film)
Ryan Thielen and Spencer Olson started working together while at SCSU and currently collaborate on projects at the Triglass Productions, a company owned by Ryan and based in Minneapolis.
Crystal Solberg’s The Beekeeper
Solberg made this documentary short while she was enrolled in the American University’s MFA Program. She is currently the Associate Producer of digital video shorts for the National Geographic.
