Registration is open now for Trivia Weekend Feb. 16-18 on KVSC 88.1 FM.
In its 39th year, the marathon’s theme is “Codename Trivia: 50-hours of Strategies, Secrets and Spies.”

More than 450 questions will target, among other things, movies, music, pop culture and products. In addition, there are visual and audio questions. Lead question writer is Chad Schmitz ’98, a St. Cloud State technology coordinator.
Community teams are $50. College teams are $25. High school teams are free. Registration closes 4:30 p.m. Feb. 16. Register by mail or in person at 27 Stewart Hall.
The 50-hour contest runs 5 p.m. Feb. 16 to 7 p.m. Feb. 18. The awards ceremony is 8 p.m. Feb. 18 in Ritsche Auditorium.
A major logistical undertaking, Trivia Weekend depends heavily on the work of volunteers. Email [email protected] to sign up for a shift, which is typically three hours.
The after-party follows about 9 p.m. in the main room of the Red Carpet Nightclub, downtown St. Cloud. Entertainment is by Shake a Hamster Band, which writes, records and performs parodies of pop tunes exclusively for Trivia Weekend.
In addition to KVSC’s terrestrial and Internet broadcasts, UTVS TV will telecast the contest live on St. Cloud Charter channel 180 and on the http://utvs.com webstream.
