St. Cloud State University has been selected to host an EducationUSA Academy in the summer of 2019 to inspire high school students from around the world to pursue undergraduate studies in the United States.
EducationUSA Academy is a pre-college academic enrichment program for self-funded high school students from around the world.
Drawing on institutional strengths and community resources, St. Cloud State will design its own programming and curriculum within the broader framework of the program that offers specialized college preparatory content, college-level writing workshops, campus visits and cultural activities.
“This three-year commitment with EducationUSA Academy gives us the exclusive rights to offer summer youth program during 2019, 2020 and 2021 with its endorsement,” said Elizabeth Valencia-Borgert, community and international outreach director for the Center of Continuing Studies.
The academy is presented by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and World Learning.
“We are confident that St. Cloud State University will offer a challenging, stimulating, and rewarding program,” said Eric Christensen, program manager for global exchange at World Learning.
