Ayubowan Sri Lankan Organization presents Sri Lankan Night Sept. 29 at St. Cloud State.
The celebration will start with a show at 5:30 p.m. in Ritsche Auditorium followed by food served in the Atwood Ballroom.
The theme for Sri Lankan Night is Kshemabhoomi, which means “a land like no other.” The organization aims to share Sri Lanka’s rich culture by performing dances, music and folklore. Organizers hope to give the students and community of St. Cloud a taste of their rich culture.
Ayubowan Sri Lankan Organization has been an active organization for upwards of 10 years at St. Cloud State. The main goal of the organization is to share, promote, and educate the uniqueness of the Sri Lankan culture, as well as its heritage, to the students of St. Cloud State and the surrounding community.
Look for tickets at a kiosk in Atwood Memorial Center throughout September. Advance tickets are $8 for students and $10 for employees and others.
At the kiosk, students may use a spinning wheel for a chance at a free ticket. There will be a raffle for discounted tickets.
Tickets at the door are $10.
