KNSI — St. Cloud State University first-year students started moving to campus on Thursday.
Rinea from Minneapolis dropped off her youngest of five kids at school.
“I’m very emotional this morning, I shed a couple of tears driving up here, but I tried to hide them from him. He’s the last of the five to go off to school, and this time it’s more emotional because he’s my last one.”
Her son Jakeel is going to SCSU to study business.
Ronalin drove from Stephen, in Northwestern Minnesota, to help move her son to campus.
She talked about how she was feeling as she was getting ready to say goodbye to her first child to go away to college.
“A little anxious but really proud and excited, it’s my first one to go off to college, and he’s a freshman, first year, first-time jitters.”
