ST. CLOUD TIMES — A bronze statue in the heart of campus is what St. Cloud State University President Robbyn Wacker is calling “the symbol of pride that we have.”
Wacker and other officials revealed the new husky statue Saturday at the dedication of Husky Plaza, which is just west of Atwood Memorial Center.
“This is really a culmination … of a couple of really important things for this university,” Wacker said. “It’s the coming together and creating the sense of pride that we have around our sesquicentennial, our homecoming celebrations and this new addition to our campus, the Husky Plaza.”
The plaza also includes bricks inscribed with messages from alumni and a wall, in which officials also placed a time capsule Saturday.
