ST. CLOUD TIMES — The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development awarded two-year grants totaling $2.7 million to 13 nonprofit groups that provide services and technical assistance to emerging businesses and entrepreneurs in Minnesota, according to a Friday press release from the department.
Initiative Foundation in Little Falls and St. Cloud State University Small Business Development Center are two area groups that were awarded funding.
Initiative Foundation received a $273,000 grant to implement the Enterprise Academy Program which will provide tools and support to prepare low-income and minority businesses owners to succeed.
