Yousafzai thanked the campus community for the work they’ve done so far to follow the elements of Protect the Pack and make the return to campus a success.
“We have to not let our guard down,” Wacker said. “We have to keep protecting the pack.”
COVID-19 affects people differently with some people having no symptoms and others needing serious medical attention, Yousafzai said.
research is being done to know more about the impacts of COVID-19 and long term immunity, Wacker said.
“The bottom line is lay low, play it safe and don’t take unnecessary risks,” Yousafzai said.
They encouraged students, faculty and staff to keep diligent in observing the steps they can take to Protect the Pack including:
- Take the daily health self assessment
- Stay home if you’re sick
- Wear a facial covering
- Maintain physical distancing
- Wash your hands often
