A new program at St. Cloud State University is offering students the opportunity to make new connections and build community on campus.
Project Connect is providing St. Cloud State students a chance to benefit from deepening social connections on campus by meeting weekly to discuss a series of thought-provoking questions, complete a mini connection project, and go out for a meal together at a local restaurant or participate in an activity together.
The six-session peer-led program is free for all St. Cloud State students, meeting one hour per week over the course of five weeks. The program has seen great success already, with 98 percent of students who have already taken part in the program saying they would recommend it to a friend.
“I really appreciated this experience,” one on-campus, first-year student participant said. “Great way to network and feel more connected to the school, especially if you’re new here.”
Students interested can register now for fall sessions and are asked to fill out the Project Connect Registration Form to become registered. After registering, one of St. Cloud State’s project coordinators will contact students to confirm participation and schedule group sessions.
