St. Cloud State University’s biggest red and black celebration of the year, Homecoming 2022, takes place Oct. 17-22 with special events for students, families, prospective students, alumni, community members and more.
The University is holding several events throughout the week to have fun on campus, reconnect with alumni and friends, experience the St. Cloud community, and celebrate what it means to be a Husky. Activities include athletic events, events for students and employees, alumni reunions, an Open House for prospective students, showings in the SCSU Planetarium, the SCSU Foundation Gala, Alumni Art Exhibit, and more.
Homecoming 2022 officially kicks off with a Homecoming Kick-Off Event for students, faculty and staff at 11 a.m. on Oct. 18 with a campus-wide celebration featuring games, food and a day of fun. Campus offices and residence halls will also celebrate Husky Spirit Day while decorating their spaces to show off their Husky Pride.
Events resume Oct. 19 with athletics events, a “Tending for a Cause” event at Beaver Island Brewing Company in St. Cloud to support the SCSU Veterans Resource Center, and a Homecoming Bonfire on the grassy area next to Stearns Hall.
On Oct. 20, athletics events resume while the Open House: Discover Red & Black Days gets underway for the weekend. Over the rest of the weekend from Oct. 21-22, a majority of the Homecoming activities get underway including Huskies sporting events, alumni reunions, Planetarium showings, student events, and more.
