St. Cloud State University has been recognized as one of the top institutions in the nation in 2024 for online learning at the master’s degree level by OnlineMastersDegrees.org, a research-backed resource that helps students find scholarships, resources, financial aid, and connect with accredited colleges and universities across the country.
OnlineMastersDegrees.org ranked SCSU in the following areas:
- Best Online Master’s Degrees in Applied Behavior Analysis (No. 11)
- Best Online Master’s Degrees in Information Systems (No. 14)
- Best Online Master’s Degrees in Computer Engineering (No. 18)
- Best Online Master’s Degrees in Electrical Engineering (No. 21)
- Best Online Master’s Degrees in Engineering Management (No. 32)
To compile the list of top programs in the country, OnlineMastersDegrees.org analyzed more than 7,700 accredited colleges and universities nationwide using data provided by the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and institutions themselves. It then applied an algorithm to rank all qualifying schools in over 100 unique master’s degree subjects (learn more about the ranking process).
To be eligible, a college of university must hold active regional accreditation and have at least one partially online master’s program in the ranking subject. Just 9% of U.S. postsecondary institutions earned a ranking position.
