St. Cloud Times — The nation may be out of the recession, but according to the St. Cloud State University Winter Institute’s Economic Outlook, 2015 is expected to be rather sluggish.
Kicking off SCSU’s Winter Institute on economics, interim dean of the School of Public Affairs and economics professor King Banaian shared his bleak opinion on the Central Minnesota economy in terms of data and trends over the past few years.
Banaian predicts falling commodity prices will hit Central Minnesota in 2015, manufacturing will still drag and the combined effects will mean a slow economy with concerns about a recession in the near future.
