St. Cloud Times – St. Cloud State men’s basketball coach Matt Reimer had a lot on his shoulders in trying to replace Kevin Schlagel this season. Reimer worked under Schlagel for 17 seasons as his top assistant and had to create his own blueprint for guiding the program.
The Huskies finished 18-12 and lost to rival Minnesota State-Mankato in the quarterfinals of the NSIC Tournament Sunday afternoon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It was exactly the same spot that Schlagel and the Huskies ended their season a year prior against Winona State.
