Democrat & Chronicle — Heidi Macpherson, who is currently a provost in Wisconsin with more than 20 years of experience in higher education as an administrator, author and professor, has been named the new president of The College at Brockport.
Macpherson, who takes office in mid-July, will be the first female president in the college’s 180-year history. She succeeds John Halstead, who is retiring after serving as Brockport’s president since 2005.

Macpherson earned her bachelor’s in English and creative writing from St. Cloud University in Minnesota. In 1990, she moved to the United Kingdom, where she became a dual national in 2003.
