St. Cloud Times — Wednesday night marks the final show for David Letterman. The longtime talk show host is retiring after a career in late night that has spanned 33 years — first with NBC’s “Late Night with David Letterman,” then as host of the “Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS.
And over the decades, there have been at least a few casual connections to St. Cloud (and St. Cloud State).
No. 5 – Violinist Jesse Peterson ’03 performed with indie musician Jeremy Messersmith’s band last year.
No. 2 – Julia Roberts asked to say hello to her cousin Dan Bredemus ’01 in the audience in early 2000 who was a student at St. Cloud State at the time.
No. 1 – Guitarist Paul “Stretch” Diethelm ’03 performed twice on the show with the Jonny Lang band.
