Valerie Knopp ’92 ’10 is a Student Employment Administrator of the Year.
Presented by the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators, the award recognizes Knopp’s “exceptional service to the discipline of student employment.”
Knopp is a ten-year veteran of the Financial Aid Office, where she serves as assistant director.
In the 2014-15 academic year, St. Cloud State employed 2,476 student employees, not including graduate assistants. Those student workers worked 525,477 hours to fund their schooling and further the university’s mission.
Knopp is the newly elected vice president for professional development for the National Student Employment Association (NSEA). Among other tasks, she’ll head three committees and oversee two major publications: The Work Book and The Journal of Student Employment.
NSEA’s four regional student employment associations serve hundreds of college student employment administrators across the United States.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in French and a master’s degree in higher education administration.
