Zumbrota News Record – With the hiring of Katy Schuerman as Kenyon-Wanamingo Elementary School principal, the KW School District is back to a full roster of administrators for the first time since December 2014. Schuerman said she is honored to join the KW district and community.

In college, Schuerman discovered a love for the Spanish language. This led to her decision to be a Spanish immersion teacher. She received her bachelor’s in science in elementary education and Spanish from St. Cloud State University. Then at the University of St. Thomas she earned her master’s of arts in curriculum and instruction, and her licensure as an education specialist in educational leadership and administration.
