St. Cloud Times — … Another good example in the July 8 Times is CentraCare’s involvement in the CareerOne program. Administered by the Minnesota Workforce Center-St. Cloud, the five-week program includes classes at St. Cloud State University and work sessions over about a dozen days and locations.
Participants have to meet a low-income requirement and one of 14 criteria that identify them as at-risk. Successfully completing the program not only builds their confidence and resumes, it gives them a stipend of more than $1,000.
Finally, it’s not just high-profile programs involving kids that can make a difference.
