St. Cloud State — For about a decade, some community members have looked to what is now Herb Brooks National Hockey Center as the most likely venue to attract bigger concerts after all of its renovation is completed.
But St. Cloud State officials say earlier dreams about what could happen with the renovated space became impossible during the Great Recession, and even now are impractical.
