St. Cloud Times — Finding Matt Hentges in the end zone was never a problem for Jameson Parsons when the two were playing for the Eagan High School football team.
Parsons, who was playing quarterback, found Hentges for a touchdown 13 times during their senior year. Whenever Hentges had single coverage, Parsons knew what to do.
“Whenever I would see the defense was (in single coverage) on Matt, I would throw a fade to the corner to him,” Parsons recalled. “Our coach would give us free will on that. All I had to do was check down and throw it deep. It always worked out pretty well for us.”
The two first met when they were in third grade basketball. They grew up playing basketball, football and baseball together.
Fast forward to 2015 and the two have been roommates for four years at St. Cloud State and both are starting wide receivers for the football team.
