St. Cloud State University hosted The Minnesota Hip Hop and Education Summit on Nov. 4 in the Atwood Memorial Center.
The Minnesota Hip Hop and Education Summit, organized by Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management Dr. Jason Woods and English professor Dr. Michael Dando, was a one-day festival for teachers, community members and artists featuring events and activities throughout the day to celebrate hip hop and learn about its use in educational spaces.
St. Cloud State University, in partnership with EssilorLuxottica and Dubow, earned a $260,000 training grant and a $280,000 training grant respectively. These grants were awarded to St. Cloud State from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) recently under the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership.

WJON — Parents working on a new degree have another option at St. Cloud State University. The Student Parent Study Room is now open at the SCSU Library.
KNSI — St. Cloud State University is trying to lighten the load by creating a Student Parent Study Room inside the library. The brand new space will have an open house on Tuesday, November 1st, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The purpose of the room is to allow student parents to work uninterrupted by providing their kids with toys or other supplies to keep them busy and entertained.
St. Cloud State University hosted the University’s biggest red and black celebration of the year, Homecoming 2022, on Oct. 17-22 with special events held throughout the week for students, families, prospective students, alumni, community members and more.
