With degrees in hand, about 1,200 students participated in Spring Commencement 2013 in Halenbeck Hall and are now ready to take the next step. Some may even be going to work for the world’s largest companies that actively recruit St. Cloud State students including Wells Fargo, Target, ING Direct, U.S. Bank and the U.S. government.
Congyu (Chris) Zhang teaches Chinese immersion in the Guang Ming Academy at Madison Elementary School in St. Cloud. Despite being an integral part of a St. Cloud public elementary school, Zhang’s classroom has the appearance of being a world away from the traditional environment of a Minnesota kindergarten room.
About 300 people gathered on the Atwood Mall on April 26 to attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the most people howling. The Husky Howl, put on by the Department of Campus Involvement to help foster Husky spirit among students on campus, was the first attempt anywhere to set a record for the
St. Cloud State officials and a representative of the Herb Brooks family today announced that St. Cloud State’s hockey arena is renamed the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. The press conference was followed by a “Celebrate with the Huskies” salute to the historic 2012-13 men’s Husky Hockey team. Read the story.
