St. Cloud State University welcomed a fresh blanket of snow on campus while celebrating winter and the holiday season with students, faculty, staff and the community on Dec. 7 during the first-ever Winter Festival held on Husky Plaza.
The Winter Festival featured glowing fire pits, hot cocoa, s’mores, food truck snacks, and swag as Huskies bundled up to connect with our Huskies community and St. Cloud State’s President Robbyn Wacker.
St. Cloud State University students had the chance to participate in the first in-person Professional Selling Competition in three years on Dec. 2.
A total of 65 students participated in the Fall 2022 Professional Selling Competition in Centennial Hall. More than 20 firms also attended the Sales Career Fair, allowing students to participate in a Speed Selling Competition to recruiters from each firm.
St. Cloud State University’s Huskies Food Pantry held a grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 28 in the main lounge of Case-Hill Hall to celebrate and showcase new additions and remodels made to the pantry.
Winners for the Miller Center Student Art Show were announced Nov. 17 on the first floor of the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center, with Isaiah Okongo taking first prize for his pen and ink drawing of the Granite Exchange Building in downtown St. Cloud.
St. Cloud State University leaders participated in Protect the Pack Partnership Walks on Nov. 17-18 in areas adjacent to the St. Cloud State campus.
This is part of the St. Cloud Police Department’s Safe Streets Initiative and was conducted in partnership with the Landlord Taskforce, the COP House Neighborhood Coalition, and St. Cloud State.
The St. Cloud State University Veterans Resource Center, along with the Student Veteran Organization, Fighting Saints Battalion ROTC and SCSU Music Department, held the annual Veterans Day Program on Nov. 10 ahead of Veterans Day on Nov. 11 to show appreciation for and recognize our nation’s veterans.
St. Cloud State University hosted The Minnesota Hip Hop and Education Summit on Nov. 4 in the Atwood Memorial Center.
The Minnesota Hip Hop and Education Summit, organized by Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management Dr. Jason Woods and English professor Dr. Michael Dando, was a one-day festival for teachers, community members and artists featuring events and activities throughout the day to celebrate hip hop and learn about its use in educational spaces.
The St. Cloud State University Center for International Disability Advocacy and Diplomacy partnered with Purple Tuesday to host The ABILITY Event on Nov. 1 in the Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom.
St. Cloud State University hosted the University’s biggest red and black celebration of the year, Homecoming 2022, on Oct. 17-22 with special events held throughout the week for students, families, prospective students, alumni, community members and more.
