Students spent a few hours to brighten someones day during Celebrate! Through Service during Winter Celebrate! Students made cards for CentraCare Meal program and Senior Linkage Line program participants, bracelets for Ngatha International Orphanage and bookmarks for young readers.

More than 500 students, faculty, staff and advisers from Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and other institutions gathered Jan. 29-Feb. 1 at St. Cloud State University for the annual Power in Diversity Leadership Conference. The conference featured six keynote speakers, several presentations, workshops and discussions, and a Diversity Job and Internship Fair featuring 85 employers.
The Chinese Students and Scholars Association puts on China Night featuring Chinese dress, entertainment and food. The association is made up of 250 Chinese students and professors.

Students conduct an excavation at the Little Elk Unit of the Charles A. Lindbergh State Park. The area was the site of a 19th century mission, and during their spring dig students were looking for evidence of a structure and of diet and dress at the mission.
Workers with the Summer Food Program fed hundreds of hungry kids this summer. The annual food program served an estimated 60,000 meals this summer. The meals are put together each morning in the Garvey Commons kitchens before being distributed at schools, community centers and apartment complexes throughout the city.
The School of Arts has commissioned the Art Student Union to create a mural that captures the feel of the 41st Lemonade Concert and Art Fair. Students started the mural during the art fair this June and are continuing their work throughout the summer in the lobby of the Kiehle Visual Arts Center.
