One of the goals of SCSU graduate student Linda Hood has been getting adult changing tables in public restrooms.
In May, Hood was invited to the state capitol to witness Minnesota Governor Tim Walz sign a new accessibility bill into law mandating all new public buildings to have adult changing tables.
Dr. Heather Brown has been named the Director of the Women’s Center at St. Cloud State University, effective July 5. Dr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lake Forest College and a Master of Theological Studies degree from Harvard Divinity School – both focused on women’s studies in religion. She earned a Doctorate
St. Cloud State University, in partnership with Pinnacle Climate Technologies and Landwehr Construction Inc. (LCI), earned a $50,000 and $216,000 training grant, respectively. These grants were awarded to SCSU from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) recently under the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership.

Jake Kruger and Raven are a pair that would probably catch your eye if you saw them walking around the St. Cloud State University campus. After all, it’s not every day that a black lab attends an actual lab.
Raven, the black lab, has been at her handler’s side for the past four years. Kruger, who has been blind since the age of two, was united with his seeing eye-dog, Raven, in June of 2019 when he decided to attend St. Cloud State.

St. Cloud State University’s Husky Productions has earned even more national recognition. The student-run organization was recently named a finalist for four Sports Video Group (SVG) awards during the 2023 awards process.
Since 2006, Husky Productions has earned 14 SVG awards and will find out if it will be adding to that list when the award winners are announced on May 31 during an awards presentation at the SVG College Summit in Atlanta.
