SCSU updates nearly 60 classrooms over the summer to enhance learning experience

As Huskies returned to St. Cloud State University this fall, they found new upgrades to dozens of classrooms across campus. The upgrades demonstrate SCSU’s commitment to investing in and reinvigorating its physical spaces and instructional technology to provide the best learning experiences for students.

SCSU’s Information Technology Services (ITS) and Facilities Management upgraded 58 classrooms over the summer, making significant improvements across campus for the 2024-25 academic year.

Christine Lepkowski named HBS Interim Dean

Christine Lepkowski has been named as the new interim dean of Herberger Business School (HBS) by Interim Provost Katherina Pattit, who recently left the position to take on the interim provost role.

A proud St. Cloud State alum, Dr. Lepkowski received her M.S. in Higher Education Administration at SCSU, before attending University of Minnesota where she received a Ph.D. in Higher Education. She has worked in HBS for over 16 years and has developed a deep understanding of its mission, values, goals, and culture.

Herberger Business School extends AACSB accreditation

St. Cloud State University’s Herberger Business School (HBS) has extended their accreditation for six years with AACSB International, a hallmark of excellence in business education.

SCSU is one of only seven business schools in Minnesota with AACSB accreditation, and HBS has been an accredited business school for nearly 50 years.

Those who visit the fourth floor of Centennial Hall at St. Cloud State University will notice newly-renovated study and office spaces for Herberger Business School (HBS) students, faculty, staff and others on campus.

The updated space provides students with a unique, state-of-the-art space to complete homework or study for exams, hang out with friends and classmates, interact with faculty and staff, schedule an advising appointment, make a room reservation, learn more about clubs available through HBS and more.

St. Cloud State University held its annual Career Day on Sept. 20 in the Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom, giving students the opportunity to connect and network with companies and employers looking to hire.

SCSU students of all levels and majors interacted and met with representatives from over 75 companies while gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of career paths such as internships, full-time and part-time positions, and more.

About 1,077 students out of 1,259 total graduates participated in Commencement ceremonies throughout the day.
