Scott Miller, professor of music, is the recipient of a $25,000 McKnight Composition Fellowship, an unrestricted grant that acknowledges excellence in music composition.
Miller is a composer of electroacoustic, orchestral, chamber, choral and multimedia works performed at venues throughout North America and Europe.
He is among four Composer Fellows honored this year by the St. Paul-based American Composers Forum and its funding partner, the Minnesota non-profit McKnight Foundation.
In addition to the McKnight Composer Fellowship, Miller has received honors and awards from the Jerome Foundation, the Minnesota State Arts Board and the MUSICA NOVA 98 International Electroacoustic Music Competition.
