They are a few of the qualities Ron Stewart displayed last week during a four-hour refresher course at Whitney Senior Center.
A legally mandated discount of at least 10 percent on insurance premiums brings most of the participants to Driver Improvement Program courses around the state, according to staff at the Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center.
The St. Cloud-based headquarters of the DIP organizes the eight-hour initial courses, four-hour refresher classes (required every three years to maintain an insurance discount) and an online platform that delivers both. Staff operates as a part of St. Cloud State University’s Center for Continuing Studies.
