What’s it like: To be high school activities director

St. Cloud Times — Luke Lutterman’s ’05 ’10 typical day starts sometime before 8 a.m.

If everything goes well, and it usually does, he might be home by 10 on many nights. It’s earlier, like 5 p.m., if there are no activities that night at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School.

Check the school calendar, however, and that’s not often. Most Saturdays are spent at the school, too.

“It’s been time well-spent so far,” the Sauk Rapids activities director said.

Lutterman became Sauk Rapids’ activities director in the summer of 2013, replacing Tom Conzemius, who retired.
