St. Cloud Times — Some people desire entertainment on the weekend. Others want to discover new cultures through education or markets.
On Saturday, an annual powwow at St. Cloud State University will combine all three — plus a free meal of wild rice, bison meat and more.
American Indian Center student employee Anthony Carlson said a big purpose for the event is to give an opportunity for members of tribal communities to connect. For him, “It definitely dials down back into the heritage portion of it.”
