Brad Nelson ’05, a 1999 graduate of Blooming Prairie High School, is a meteorologist by vocation and a storm chaser as a hobby. If there’s bad weather on the horizon anywhere in the country, you can bet Nelson, a resident of Burnsville, is watching it develop.

Following high school, Nelson pursued meteorology and environmental studies degrees at St. Cloud State University. At St. Cloud State, Nelson gained a knowledge of the vast world of weather and learned how to storm chase.
