Mille Lacs County Times — In his report to the board, Milaca High School Principal Damian Patnode said Randy Johnson is willing to return to teach the College in the Schools Human Biology course offered in association with St. Cloud State University.
Johnson previously taught the course before retiring at the end of the last academic year.
“I feel strongly that we need to try and offer it,” Patnode said.
Twenty-six students are registered for this spring’s section of the course. Registration for the course took place before notice of Johnson’s retirement had been received. Patnode said he has posted looking for candidates to teach the course, but does not foresee many applicants because SCSU has strict requirements for teachers of the course. Patnode noted that Johnson has completed SCSU’s required training for the course “just in case” he were needed to teach it.
