St. Cloud State University has been recognized as being one of the most affordable LGBTQ-friendly colleges and universities in the country by Student Loan Hero.
St. Cloud State is ranked No. 2 in the state of Minnesota and No. 32 in the nation when examining LGBTQ acceptance on campuses based on policies, administrative support, campus community involvement and other factors.
Student Loan Hero, which helps students manage student loan debt, used the Campus Pride Index rating for its list of LGBTQ-friendly colleges and universities. College needed an index rating of at least four out of five stars to be included in the study. Its researchers then compared 2019-20 data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System on in-state and out-of-state tuition and fees.
St. Cloud State and the LGBT Resource Center provides an inclusive and educational environment for the campus community and the greater St. Cloud area. The LGBT Resource Center promotes full inclusion of LGBT+ folk and allies and works to dismantle prejudice, discrimination and oppression toward and within the LGBT+ community.
