St. Cloud Times — St. Cloud City Council unanimously approved Monday adopting an action plan to address concerns with rental properties and neighborhood preservation. The plan was submitted by a task force formed last year.
The task force, which has met nearly 20 times since December, reviewed five focus areas: enforcement of existing codes, strengthening of nuisance ordinances, increasing landlord responsibility, strengthening zoning ordinances and developing assistance programs.
The neighborhood best practices task force is made up of 19 members from various community organizations including St. Cloud Neighborhood Coalition, St. Cloud Area Association of Realtors, St. Cloud City Council and St. Cloud State University, along with landlords and other city officials.
