Register for Trivia Weekend Feb. 17-19 on KVSC 88.1 FM.
In its 38th year, the marathon’s 2017 theme is “Trivia Storm: 50-Hours of Torrential Trivia.”
Through Feb. 16, 53 teams had registered for the contest, which will feature weather-related questions drawn from movies, music, local history, pop culture and quirky products. In addition, there are visual and audio questions.

Community teams are $50. College teams are $25. High school teams are free. Registration closes 4:30 p.m. Feb. 17. Register by mail or in person at 27 Stewart Hall.

The 50-hour contest runs 5 p.m. Feb. 17 to 7 p.m. Feb. 19. The awards ceremony is 8 p.m. Feb. 14 in Ritsche Auditorium.
The after-party follows in the main room of the Red Carpet Nightclub, downtown St. Cloud. Shake a Hamster Band writes, records and performs parodies of pop tunes exclusively for Trivia Weekend.
In addition to KVSC’s terrestrial and Internet broadcasts, UTVS TV will telecast live on St. Cloud Charter channel 180 and on the http://utvs.com webstream.

A major logistical undertaking, Trivia Weekend depends heavily on the work of volunteers. Email [email protected] to sign up for a shift, which are typically three hours.

Created to ease the ill-effects of cabin fever, Trivia Weekend debuted in 1980 with 25 teams.
