St. Cloud State University invites campus to help celebrate first generation college students, faculty and staff at its inaugural 1st Gen Celebration 9-10:30 a.m. Nov. 8 in Atwood Memorial Center, Cascade.
On Nov. 8, institutions around the country will celebrate 1st generation students, faculty and staff on the 53rd Anniversary of the Higher Education Act.
President Wacker will kick off the celebration sharing her first-generation story and pose for pictures at a photo both.
In efforts to celebrate the successes and experiences of our first generation students, faculty and staff, the 1st Gen Committee will be sending out a campus wide survey on Nov. 8 to gauge involvement and participation on campus as well as learn about St. Cloud State’s demographics.
The event is hosted by the 1st Gen Committee of St. Cloud State faculty and staff with sponsorship by University College.
