ST. CLOUD TIMES — The Federal Reserve’s interest rate affects how much it costs you to borrow money for a house or a business loan, and one of the people responsible for rate adjustments will take questions and feedback Tuesday in St. Cloud.
Neel Kashkari, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, will hold a public town hall at St. Cloud State University this week.
Kashkari wants to get a sense of the economy in Central Minnesota, how businesses feel about investing and hiring and how residents feel about wages and the ability to find work, Kashkari told the St. Cloud Times on Wednesday.
It’s Kashkari’s job to represent a region of the Midwest in the Federal Reserve system, the nation’s central bank, Kashkari said.
