The Lindgren Child Care Center has joined the School of Education.
Martina Juvera-Paul ’04 will serve as managing director. Dr. JoAnn Johnson, chair and professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies, will serve as faculty director. Kelli Schreiner also joins the team to offer administrative support, bringing to the role many years of experience and expertise, including work with community-based early childhood initiatives.
The Lindgren Child Care Center is a student service providing quality child care and support to St. Cloud State student parents. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Juvera-Paul is a proud St. Cloud State University alumna who graduated in 2004 with a degree in Child & Family Studies. She is a licensed early childhood professional, maintaining a Minnesota Birth-Grade 3 teaching license. She has taken on additional responsibilities at LCCC in the last year, while the director position has been vacant.
Juvera-Paul is experienced in the field of early childhood education. She has worked as an infant teacher for seven years in the Lindgren Child Care Center. Prior to joining St. Cloud State, she taught preschool-aged children at Head Start and taught for Early Childhood Family Education programming locally. She also served as a literacy tutor for the Minnesota Reading Corps and provided remediation programming for elementary students.
In her new role, Juvera-Paul looks forward to fulfilling the mission of “Nurturing the Future Possibilities in Each Life-Long Learner.”
